Setting the Standard in Site Furnishings

Ironsmith has been making tree grates, trench grates, and bollards under the IRONSMITH banner for over thirty years. In 1984, Ironsmith was the first tree grate manufacturer to produce a tree grate with a 1/4-inch slot opening width.

Ironsmith developed their iconic Starburst Series — Series 1 and Series 2 — in response to requests from hospitality clients for a grate that would not trap high-heel shoes. Five years later, their designs became the industry standard for urban streetscapes.

ATHCO provides Ironsmith site furnishings for parks, streetscapes, and commercial projects across Kansas and Missouri — from tree protection grates to architectural bollards that define and protect public spaces.
